The IPSALink

Educational institutions usually have some form of publication where both students and school staff may interact and communicate.  The LaSallian (TLS) is the official student publication of De Lasalle University, while Matanglawin is the official student newspaper of the Ateneo de Manila University in the Filipino language.  The New Builder is the official publication of the Mapua Institute of Technology and The Varsitarian, the official student publication of UST.  Of course, the University of the Philippines – Diliman campus has its own Phillipine Collegian.

It is therefore with great pride that the International Philippine School in Al-Khobar announces its very own "IPSALink" – the official student newspaper and now the official website of IPSA.

Aside from its biannual newspaper publication, IPSALink will be published online through the web.  This will be a great experience for student IPSALink editors and contributors, as publishing their own articles online will add to their journalistic knowledge and may even provide the spark for them to follow a career in web page development.

The IPSALink website has a variety of features where you can read articles written by students, announcements from school staff and student organizations, access photo albums of different school activities, download school forms and informative files, post comments and suggestions, join the forum and participate in a new social connectivity builder called the IPSALinkster.  It only requires user registration to avail all functions of the site.

Who doesn't have a Friendster account, or maybe moved on to Multiply or Facebook? Most of us are familiar with these social networking sites, and this only means we will find IPSALinkster easy to use.

So what is IPSALinkster?  It is a means of connecting the IPSA Community together, by meeting new friends and staying in touch with alumnae.  It allows the registered member to share photos, send private messages and email, and maintain their own guestbook.  Members may also modify their profiles and post their own portraits which will be visible in the forum.
